Questions
Everything you need to know about studying abroad and the international community in Kaunas.
What can I find in the „Apglėbk pasaulį“ community?
Community meetups, board game nights, tours around Kaunas, language cafés and international Erasmus+ projects. This is where you meet local young people and others who have come from all over the world.
I am a local student in Kaunas — can I still take part in community events?
Of course. Our events are for local and international young people alike – that is exactly where intercultural dialogue comes from. Anyone can register.
Is there a community or event fee?
No. The vast majority of our community meetups, board game nights and picnics are open and free. If an event does have a participation fee, it is always stated in that event’s description.
What kind of „Erasmus+“ projects are organised here?
Mostly youth exchanges and training courses for youth workers. Themes cover social inclusion, ecological awareness, digital skills and volunteering.
Can people from abroad join the projects?
Yes. Youth exchanges are open to people aged 18 to 30 living in Lithuania, regardless of citizenship.
Where can I register for „Erasmus+“ projects?
Every open project is published on the „Erasmus+ programmes“ page. You will find the registration form and each project’s deadlines there.
I want to volunteer in „Erasmus+“ projects and events — where can I sign up?
Write to us at [email protected] or fill in the form on the „About us“ page. We contact our volunteers before every event.
What do volunteers do in the community?
They help run events, welcome arriving participants, lead activities, take photographs and create content for social media. Tasks are matched to your interests and the time you have.
How can I contribute to the community?
Come to an event, become a volunteer, propose your own idea, or support our work with a donation. Every one of these is equally welcome.
Are there age limits for attending events?
Community events are open to everyone aged 16 and over. Erasmus+ youth exchanges are normally for people aged 18–30, while training courses for youth workers have no upper age limit.
